Before I even posted my comment I wrote "Why oh Why" and didn't know that there was a user on here with the same name...Hilarious. Anyway
This isn't about popping champagne, this is about value. I can't sit here at this point in time, with the economy the way it is and look at the PS3 as a better value for me as a gamer. Sony making up a gap in the middle of the year is fools gold. Especially when there are very few games, marketing dollars, and people caring during that t...
Relevant part of this thread is that this game looks good. My worry is that SquareEnix have fallen short on delivering great RPG experiences so far this generation. Many of the games have been good to play though. I just want Star Ocean to be really good. Other than that haters can suck a fat one on New Years. bicccccches
Do PS3 fans never look at the big picture? It's real easy to look at the Xbox 360 and say hey it was them having a headstart. Fine, but what happened to blaming Nintendo and the Wii?
What if the Wii didn't launch, wouldn't it be safe to say that many of those sales be PS3? Seeing that both systems launched at the same time. At the time you can say that the Xbox 360 didn't have competition for a year, yet Microsoft didn't have sales that couldn't be trumped. Case in point why the ...
With the article is that the titles they are talking about have taken huge amounts of time to develop. The expenditures on them have in many respects not been recouped by Sony. The article never questions this key variable, which I believe is paramount. Gears of War 1 & 2 are litterally 2 years apart, both games look incredible. How do you justify MGS4 looking better when you have waited so long for it? You take a game like Heavy Rain which for all intents and purpose is Shenmue for this ...
These fools need to make sure they make better games, and continue to innovate with their intergration. If that isn't part of the plan, they will lose all the momentum that have garnered. That's why Nintendo will always be here. Focus kids...Focus
In trouble when a blog tells you your not, and everyone who reads it starts to feel better. Hilarious.
I would almost agree that the Xbox 360 is selling because of the price cut. Which anyone with a brain knew was coming. Seeing as how they only had one since it's release. So that was all about timing. Yet people seem to forget that the Xbox 360 beat out the PS3 in the month of August. Point is Xbox 360 has done well this year. If I recall it was not Microsoft nor Xbox 360 fans c...
this straight. A company with two generations of shoddy hardware and owning the industry is telling a company with stable hardware from last gen that they are better? Nice. How come he never answered the fact that Microsoft also gives you a three year warranty, so getting you "shoddy" console fix costs you nothing but a stamp. I know tons of people who didn't have that last gen,a couple of lawsuits because of them, and people lovingly buying more than one PS2 because they wanted to ...
Was a really good year for the console. Felt alot like 2006 with few games in terms of exclusives, but what graced the system was high quality. Fable 2, Gears, Banjo, Pure, GTA4, NG2, and other titles. Didn't matter if it was exclusive or multiplatform. Xbox 360 had a good solid year.
No has called this Uncharted 1.5 like they called Gears 2. Which we know was killed by how well it exceeded the first graphically. Uncharted two looks fab, and the urban setting may just be a small part of a stage. The game seems to have various environments. I'll have a PS3 in December 2009, by then the library should be robust to warrant a purchase.
They are not presenting the best piece to show...That would be a shame. Sony needs great news right now...not good news. He did say it looked awesome, so lets hope it gets everyone excited for the PS3 next year. Either way I'll have a PS3 by holiday 2009 on time.
The Xbox originals do blow the cap off. You had the extra capacity HDD consoles 60/120, along with optional installs. So the Xbox 360 is well prepared for this, and I also think this bodes well for other games coming down the pipe line...
a choice? PS3/Blu Ray have to succeed. They add to the bottom line of the Sony conglomerate. Also I don't see any reason if the company is being prudent about their current position, and where their products are that they can make wise decisions to be a stronger company in the future. You cut 16000 jobs, you better start getting your act together. I'd look at this as more of an opportunity than a sign of distress.
significant is that Sony has Home ready for people to use it on the PS3. Microsoft is going to pay attention, but I doubt they are going to be motivated to do 1up man ship with Sony. Live has been shown to be a scalable service, and Microsoft is just going to expand it regardless of what Sony does. What you can do with the Avatars now is decent, and if they are smart they will push that a bit more. Live's intergration with games is what matters to people on the Xbox 360. Home and the PS3 have...
We need to stop this nonsense now. We all know how the R2 vs GeoW2 ended, and over hyping is not going good. These are two different games, so when ever they come out people will purchase them. Gears has shown that it can get better. Having the first next gen God of War is going to be special. Outside of that relax until the middle of 2009.
I can't take another year of who will win fanboy predictions. They never end well cause its never who they should win. Let's all wait and se...
These days are possible. Mighty companies are feeling the pinch right now. So saying with absolutely in either capacity is reaching. Yet when you cut 16000 jobs everyone needs to pay attention, and pray for those that have to survive for their daily bread.
Good news for Sony. Home should give them more notches for the PS3 to be enticing. Microsoft has been expanding live for a while, so this is a good win for the social aspect of online gaming.
There are many threads across the net mad at Microsoft for their advertisements which are actually not that serious. Now with the knowledge that Home is going to be a walking billboard folks are fine with advertisements? Funny.
I saw this coming though, especially when Sony and Capcom came to agreement for a store. I figured they would have many of these sorts of situations for the ad world. I'm pretty sure advertisers are pushing Microsoft for something also.
Not everyone is going to agree with the GOTY awards from various media outlets, but I believe G4 got it right.
When I played MGS4 I was baffled by the way Snake moved, he was still stiff, the texture blur all over the place was bothering me. Along with the fact that the levels were very small. Did I like the game hell yeah, but I think people give the game a bit more credit then it should receive. I do understand why some would think it should get GOTY.
Dark it's a bit bigger than that. I don't not, and hope Sony doesn't cut the PS3. I doubt they will. One thing for sure is that they need a steady stream of new gaming to come out. Not so much on the retail side maybe more on PSN. Also they need to really start using their movie and music publishing assets to give them a boost both in content distribution on their electronics. Like package phones, mp3 players with available and exclusive content. They need to push now...
